Employing young people brings fresh energy, skills and knowledge to your business and can revitalise your existing workforce. Creating apprenticeships and entry-level roles for young people is a cost effective way to develop a future workforce with the right skills and qualifications.
Apprenticeship levy breakfast briefing
City and Islington College and Islington Council are hosting a breakfast briefing to help get local businesses up to speed with the new apprenticeships reforms. There’ll be presentations from Islington Council Leader, Cllr Richard Watts and ISS, a leading global provider of facility services at the event on 9 March from 8.30am–11.30am at Islington Town Hall.
Workshops looking at the apprenticeship levy, working with training partners and recruiting and supporting apprentices will run throughout the morning. Please contact Nicholas.firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to book a place.

iWork Youth Employment team: here to help you recruit local young people
The iWork Youth Employment Team can support you to attract and recruit talented local young people for entry-level and part-time roles.
You could join our Saturday Jobs programme and offer part-time work to young people who are studying. It gives you the opportunity to fill your skills gaps, whilst giving young people the experience they need to become effective employees of the future.
